I’m driving to Tahoe tomorrow, do I need to carry snow chains?

Question by : I’m driving to Tahoe tomorrow, do I need to carry snow chains?
I have a 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid, and we’ll be driving on US 50. The weather forecast says tomorrow is going to be sunny. Do I still need snow chains instead they put R signs on the highway?
