Question by : Is there any snow in Lake Tahoe right now?
Incline Village, to be exact. My family and I are heading up there on Christmas. I’ve seen mostly sun in the forecast and I’m getting a bit worried that there will be no snow when we visit.

You are correct! There is no snow.. The last snowfall was around mid November and it was only about 6 inches of snow. Most of which has melted by now.

If you are worried that you won’t be able to ski, you don’t need to be. All ski resorts are open right now but it is mostly man-made snow which does the job, but just isn’t the same. A lot of lifts are also closed for the time being.

Ten day forecasts show nothing but sunny weather, but don’t be fooled, it is COLD so bring warm clothes!

I don’t think there will be any snow around Incline Village for the rest of December to play in to make snowman or snow angels or go sledding, so make sure you plan many other activities. There is still plenty to do without the snow. Go on a hike, take a carriage ride, go to vikingsholm in Emerald Bay, take a cruise around the lake.
