I’m planning a trip with my girlfriend. How far in terms of driving distance is Lake Tahoe? What’s a cool place to stay and how much do hotels rooms cost?

From SF yu can just drive up HWY 50 to Lake Tahoe. That will take about 3 hours (depends on the weather of course). I would choose Lake Tahoe because I like skiing. If you don’t like skiing there is still the beautiful lake. Go to Yosemite in the Fall.
